Shares in Barclays lead FTSE lower - IGs Afternoon Market Headlines 26.11.12

• FTSE -- 45 5774. • Olli Rehn stated that Spanish deficit will continue to rise in the next two years. • Spanish regional elections results showed that the pro-independence Catalonian party took a majority. This indicates a lack of confidence in the Madrid administration. • We are still waiting to hear if Greece will be given finance from the troika or not. Without the €31 billion the nation would be bankrupt. • German GfK consumer figures: 5.9 and worse than expected. • Barclays -5% after Qatar fund sold off nearly £800 million warrants.
